Shawn's Birthday weekend

6.06.2010

Wednesday was Shawn's B Day! He's a whopping 24! So young. Anyway to surprise him I secretly planned a weekend stay at the Westin in Scottsdale. I knew especially after the week he had he would love it! It was really nice to see the huge smile on his face when I pulled into the hotel parking lot. The Hotel is amazing (they try to nickel and dime you though, so if any of you go. Make sure you check your bill). The pool was where we were most of time. They have a lazy river so that was pretty cool too. At night they had a movie playing at the pool. We decided to skip the movie and go to dinner at Deseo. Bit pricey but absolutely AMAZING! Highly recommended! One of the best parts for me personally was sleeping in until 9. Never happens anymore with our girls. Our weekend could not have been possible if we didn't have such amazing family. Thank you to Katy and Dj and of course Grandma and Grandpa for giving us the chance to get away and celebrate Shawn's birthday pool side. Sorry bro for having to change the nasty poopey diaper...comes with the package.

Shawn had a great time and that was my ultimate goal!  Mission accomplished

Memorial Day Weekend

6.01.2010

Not only was it Memorial Day.  It was also the first time the girls have been in a pool.  Well, besides the baby pool we have for them in our backyard.  Like always we all had a great time playing with the girls.  They keep us all entertained well.

They actually liked it as long as they were close to someone.  Especially my baby Ava.

Adisyn of course had to do some showing off and strut in her sandals and bathing suit.

She puts on quite a show!

Honeymoon/vacation

5.29.2010

Long overdue I know, better late than never right?
We had an amazing time in Puerto Rico! So much that we plan going back sometime. There is something about the Caribbeans that is so amazingly beautiful and unlike any other place in the world! I took about 700 pics way too many to post. I think you'll get a good idea of what we did from the few below.

We for sure wanted a couple of days to do nothing but hang out on the beach and have one our favorite new beers... Medalla Light.  The beer of Puerto Rico.

These picture were taken from Old San Juan.  That day we rented a jeep and cruised around with the top off, that is until it started pouring rain on us.  In Puerto Rico is sprinkles often although it felt so good, it was incredibly humid!  Old San Juan was for sure a good trip.  We got to see the Fortress and the Capital and the roots of Puerto Rico.  The streets were so amazing with the narrow pathways and cobble stone roads.

These are random pictures of where we stayed.  Beauty Everywhere!

The rainforest was by far the best experience, well next to kayaking through the Bio Bay.  We hiked some serious rocks and waterfalls, but it was an unforgetable time.  After we hiked for a while, then the really fun part began... Ziplining!  We had such a great time and the veiws were breath taking.  After our exhausting hike through the rainforest we got a chance to eat some true Puerto Rican food.  We went to this family's house where they cooked for us.  The food was delicious but most of all it was such a cool experience to eat with this family and see the true sides of the natives.  The area we were is a very low key town, most of the people have been given their homes from ancestors so very few people have a mortgage.  Most of them have just part time jobs to pay for food, clothing and such needs.  So everyone is very laid back with not a lot of stresses in life.

Fajardo, Puerto Rico

We took a all day catamaran/snorkeling trip.  It was a lot of fun, but they crammed way too many people on one boat.  Even so it was worth it to see the beaches.  The water was so crystal clear, it was straight from the discovery channel.  Something you only see on tv.  The small island we went to was pretty cool, nothing there but people that came to dock.  Everyone was doing flips off the boats, drinking, snorkeling and listening to Bob Marley... Can't ask for anything more.

Beautiful waters

After the past year that we had.  We needed and deserved some time away.  Puerto Rico was the best solution.  Towards the end of the week it was definetly time to go home to our babies.

Our honeymoon in Puerto Rico will always be a great memory.

Our Wedding Day

5.01.2010

Our Wedding Day was one of the best days of my life.  I could not ask for a better husband and extended family.  The entire day I had butterflies in my stomach, trying so hard not to let my eyes tear up.  My dream was coming true... I found my prince charming. I was concentrating on soaking up every moment becuase I knew it wouldn't last long as it didn't!  Once people started coming and I saw part of Shawn's arm through the window I was overwhelmed with excitement.  I was just waiting to break down hysterically.  As I'm walking down the isle I'm thinking how am going to do this in front of all these amazing people.  Then a huge smile presented itself on my face... I saw him... Shawn.  From that moment on I knew everything was going to be okay!!  Of course I lost it during our vows, fortunatley it was at the end.  Oh and we missed the part when we actually put the rings on eachother. What can I say, that is totally us, so it made the experience even better. Unfortunaley I don't have many pictures from my camera however, the proffesional pictures will be coming soon.  April 17, 2010 was a day I will never forget!!!!  It was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing!  Thank you so much to all of those that helped.  And a special thanks to Connie and Bob we appreciate more than you know!  Love you Mom and Dad!

Crazy fun times are over...

Things have been a little crazy so I have not updated our blog in a long time!... So I'm going to catch everyone up.

The girls first birthday was a lot of fun! A lot of people came to show their love and support for our family and two of most beautiful one year olds I have ever seen. Surprisingly Ava went to town on her birthday cake, Adisyn was a little more timid. Now that they are almost 13 months. Adisyn is walking everywhere now and Ava is shortly behind her.
