15 MONTHS

1.23.2017

Newborn, 6 months, 15 months

Oh my... 15 months already?!
This darling spunky girl has been busier than ever and at this point is practically running (and has jumped a few times).  She's full of personality and makes us smile on the daily.

Height: 2 ft 7.5 in (75th%)
Weight: 24 lbs (82%)
HC: 18.4 in (76th%)

This girl LOVES to d.a.n.c.e. all the time.  It's so cute and such an attention grabber from everyone and shows no sign of shyness. She dances to commercials, cartoons, and music which is played a lot at our house, and even with no sound.  It's the BEST!!!!

Reece still has a great appetite, sometimes eating as much as her sisters.  She eats nearly everything and after a taste test she's fairly adventurous with food.  She still does have a bottle during naps and bedtime.  I'm going to start working with her to wean her from her bottle, that's going to be fun.

Like mentioned above she is all over the place and runs to keep up with her sisters.  She is learning so quickly by watching them.  She absolutely adores her sisters and no one can make her laugh the way they do.  It is so awesome to watch them grow together.  At times they get annoyed with her and when I ask them for help I get the perfected eye roll (already, seriously?)  Most of the time they enjoy helping out with her.

She sleeps well at night (most nights) going to bed at 7:30-8 waking up at 6:30-7.  She takes two naps a day anywhere from 3-4 hours.  She loves her sleep that's for sure.  I try to get her and I out of the house as often as possible, but her naps make it difficult.  Hopefully in a few months she will begin one nap a day and we can be more adventurous together.

She loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and still attentive to movies and cartoons.

She loves mimicking people.  She hasn't been saying many words, other than her baby babble, but I know it won't be long before she's talking back.

She loves to people watch, but is still very cautious around unfamiliar people.

For her birthday we bought her a baby seat for the bicycle.  She loves it!!!!  She also loves to swing and climb on just about anything.  She goes down many slides by herself with little to no fear.  I've contemplated putting a helmet on her everyday.

The past month she has a new squeaky mischievous laugh and its the cutest!

She is the highlight of most of our days and we still can't believe how much she has complete our family.  So thankful for this angel baby.

Considering most of the pictures I take of her look like this I need to practice action shots.

CHRISTMAS + NYE

1.13.2017

This Christmas was a special one for several reasons.  One that brought joy and tears.  I didn't take many pictures which is completely out of the ordinary for me.  I found that at times there is a fine line between obsessing over photos vs. living in the moment.  I tried (which came easy) to soak up every minute with my loved ones.  Although Christmas day was filled with lots of driving it was also filled with love and thankfulness.

Shawn's parents' Christmas Eve party was a great night that we all look forward to.  This years theme was Christmas character.
We got really creative (wink).
Mr. and Mrs. Claus and our three cute elves.

Christmas morning was spent at our home to find what Santa had left behind.  (this year will likely be the last year our oldest children believe). NOOOOO!!!!! I want them to stay sweet and innocent forever, maybe they will.
The girls must have been extra good because Santa really came through this year!

Excuse the poor quality iphone pics.

Afterwards we headed over to Shawn's parents.  It has been about four years since we went over in the morning, but this year was not negotiable we had to go!  We then headed next door to Shawn's grandparents for the most delicious breakfast, hugs, and memories with some of the most important and loved people in our lives.  Then it was back home for a few hours, drive to my brothers house and then back to Stacy's.  To say it was a long day is an understatement, but we don't regret it for a second.

My girls looked extra cute and really enjoyed playing with all their cousins.

NYE- normally spent in Show Low, but instead was spent here around the fire.

We eventually made it up to Show Low for some much needed time away and to decompress.  Friday morning we woke up to see a thin white blanket of snow.

It lightly snowed throughout the day and the kids took full advantage.  This is Reece's second time in the snow but her first of walking and eating it.  She didn't seem to mind the cold at all.

We also made it to Pinetop Brewing for a great dinner and drinks.

The new year is always, for me, a time to reflect and create goals.  2016 taught me a lot and I'm thankful, but am more than happy to welcome 2017!  This post took me a while to get together because it brought up mixed emotions in me, but here it is.

Oh and to be consistent here's our 2016 Christmas card.

Happy New Year my dear family and friends. xoxo

SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN

12.04.2016

Yesterday we made our way to visit Santa at Bass Pro.  I wanted to wait to go on a week day because I figured it would be less crowded, but Shawn convinced me to go.  It was busy, but can't really complain too much.  They have it planned out perfectly.  We got a pass to come back and since we had a few hours we did some shopping, lunch, and enjoyed wandering Bass Pro.

We lunched at Four Peaks Brewing since we love it and don't normally head that way it just made sense.

Shawn and I shared the chicken fried sandwich.  The. Best. Ever!

After lunch we hung out at Bass Pro.  Reece went on her first carousel ride.  She was freaked out at first and had a death grip on me.

Pose like an animal.

After some exploring we headed down to visit Santa.  The girls made some friends while playing with lincoln logs and coloring.  Reece slept most of the 30 minute wait and then wanted to explore.

Finally it was our turn to visit the jolly ol' man himself.  We were certain that Reece would cry so we weren't surprised when it happened.  Ava asked for a barbie camping set and Adisyn asked for a barbie house.

This photo is hilarious, even Santa.

Afterwards we headed home Reece went to bed, Ava and Adisyn watched movies, and Shawn and I enjoyed the fire in the backyard and a cold one.

When the girls woke they were welcomed by Elfy!  Oh yes, he's back.  This year he brought a book, The Polar Express, one of their favorite Christmas movies.  They were so excited and started reminiscing about all the places they found him last year.
(notice the tree is bare the lower half one word hint, Reece).

I've been trying to collect 25 Christmas books one to read every night in December until Christmas. They might get a few more from Santa.  Who knows.

OH WHAT FUN!

The day after Thanksgiving was the girls' cousin annual movie night.  This years feature was Santa Claus.  It was a fun night complete with hot chocolate, popcorn, and matching jammies.

This photo makes me laugh.  Reece seemed so concerned about why Mabel was crying.

Can't get enough of these sweet girls.  And the second picture of Reece, too funny.

Reece had to join in the fun and not sit still and attempt to take the other kids popcorn.

And then made a huge mess with her oreo.

It makes my heart explode to see my kids play with their cousins, even though they don't always get along (normal).  I'm so happy they get to share memories and grow up together.  It makes me wonder how close they will be when they are older.
After the movie we checked out some of the lights in the neighborhood and headed to Nana and Papa's for a bit.  Reece couldn't stop staring at the gigantic Santa.  Great night.
