Play Doh

I wanted to do something fun today with the girls.  So, we made play doh.  I knew it was easy to make, but didn't know how easy!  It was just a little sticky at first so we let it sit for a few hours and it was just like store bought.  I am guilty of trying a few pieces of play doh in my time.  Now I know why it taste so salty.  One batch calls for 1/2 c. of salt!  Yuck!  Ava of course tried some which was followed by a bitter beer face but I didn't see Adisyn indulge.  

Simple 6 ingredients (boiled water not shown)

It's been so long since I have bought food coloring.  We were searching everywhere for the drops only to find out they updated and are now in TUBES!  I like them

We did have some more fun today!

Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Purple.  1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.  Circle, square, triangle.

The girls pretty much have colors down.  Numbers are in progress.  Now we're on to shapes.  The other night the four of us colored at the table.  We noticed how amazingly good Adisyn is at coloring in between the lines.  I could not get over how good she did!  Ava on the other hand was all over the place with her coloring.  It is so interesting the differences between their strengths and weaknesses.  I am such a proud Mommy!
