Hello third trimester!

9-11 weeks until we get to meet her!

Size of Baby:  Head of cauliflower. Probably close to 3 lbs.

Cravings:  fruit, sweets, carbonated drinks

Aversions:  None

What I love:  Baby hiccups... is there anything sweeter?  For the past week I've noticed her get the hiccups at least once a day sometimes several times a day.  I'm certain that she is head down because that is where I feel her hiccups and the biggest kicks and hardest movements are towards the top of my belly.  Hopefully she stays there even though she will be born cesarean I would like her head to come out first.  She seems to be moving around less but still active with her kicks and punches.  I'm starting to recognize her sleeping patterns.  She gets up early and is up late.  She sleeps mostly throughout the day.  My contractions have really slowed down and I've been resting a lot and drinking lots of water.  My nurse explained to me that majority of patients getting the shots I get make it to at least 37 weeks so that is our goal for the soonest!  That would be just days before Halloween.  Shawn wants a chubby 10 lb. baby (really?) NO! but we are really hoping she waits until 39 weeks.

Thoughts:  I have really been feeling so much better this past week.  I've been eating clean food, trying to stay active and changing my state of mind.  I had a doctor appointment yesterday and everything is going great!  Lets hope the glucose test comes back okay.  I'm still measuring larger than 28 weeks but that has been consistent throughout the entire pregnancy.  I only gained 2 lbs. the past month. Yah! I have really popped out and have been getting comments about how big I am.  People are surprised when I tell them the due date.  I start going every two weeks for follow up appointments until I hit 32 weeks, then I will go every week.  I have been really inspired by a friend of mine and decided it's time to make some big changes so I've started a second blog which will mostly be about health and fitness but I will also dabble into recipes, home diy/decor, fashion, and beauty.  I also signed up to be a Beachbody coach so I can help inspire others to follow in my footsteps.  I'm beyond excited about the future!

10-13 Weeks!

Size of baby:  Eggplant (not sure who comes up with these analogies).  I'm guesstimating she's about 2.5 lbs.

Cravings:  salads, fruit, fruit and lots of fruit.  Ice cream or anything with chocolate.  I've also craved salty foods too.

Aversions:  None

What I miss:

What I love:  I love watching my belly move when she's doing her daily acrobats.  I've joked with Shawn that she has already mastered cartwheels.  My doctor asked where I feel her kicks (so he can get an idea if she's head down or not) and I laughed because I literally feel her moving everywhere.  I'm supposed to be keeping track of kicks every morning and night, 10 kicks in 2 hours, she can get that done in a minute or less.  She moves and kicks more than my twins did and I love it!  I have a doctors appointment is two weeks for glucose testing and Rh shot.  Another shot!  Since I'm Rh negative and Shawn is Rh positive (more popular of the two) I have to get the shot so my body does not produce any antigens since there is a high chance she is Rh positive as well.  I also talked to my doctor about the contractions I have been experiencing.  He didn't seem concerned because they are very irregular.  Its normal to get some contractions as my body is "practicing" for delivery that's at least what I have been telling myself.  As the  28 week mark approaches (when I went into labor with my twins) I get a lot of anxiety, fear, nervousness and any other scared feeling.  I'm feeling better knowing that this pregnancy has been much different.  At this point with the girls I was extremely swollen everywhere already and was working long days on my feet all day long.  I've been drinking lots of water and resting in between household chores in efforts to not overdue it.  I'm so fortunate to be able to stay home which has significantly reduced stress for both Shawn and myself.  We both knew I would not have a healthy pregnancy if I continued to work.  So we've been crossing our fingers and thinking happy thoughts.  Adisyn has been an angel of a child lately.  Ava not so much but anyway, Adisyn brought home a class assignment they did with a partner.  She was asked several questions one of them was how many brothers/sisters do you  have.  She answered two sisters.  For most I'm sure that wouldn't be as special but for me and my emotional state it made me smile hard.  I've said it a ton but its true they both love her so much!

Thoughts:  I removed the "what I miss" category because lets be real there is a lot to miss when your're pregnant.  There are a ton of symptoms, mostly miserable symptoms, but I'm trying hard to change my state of mind and focus on still being pregnant.  And fortunate that I'm pregnant at all.  I have to remind myself of this several times a day, okay who am I kidding, all day I'm reminding myself of this.  It's mind over matter, right?  (whaaa... yes that is my baby cry).  I'm hoping that will be in our favor when it comes to keeping this angel in as long as possible, a girl can dream right?  I'm trying to stay positive that these shots I get every week will be worth it.  All of this stemmed from a very painful contraction I had last week.  Fortunately I only had one but it was enough for me to realize I need to be positive. I would be lying if I didn't get excited seeing fall decorations already.  That means its closer!

We're finally done... well for the most part.  I would like to get a white fluffy rug next. Shawn is probably more happy than I am that we can have our normal weekends again.  We were both anxious to get her room done but it did take over a month (working mostly only on weekends)!  Shawn seemed to run into problems with almost every project item in this room.  But he got the job done and I am so lucky to have him!  I don't think there is anything he can't do!  Thank you Husband!

Anyway back to the room.  I envisioned a rustic chic look and I would say we accomplished this.  We all four pitched in and did something for her room which made it more special for her.  We started by painting the room a light mint color with small pops of coral sprinkled throughout.  Shawn wasn't too sure about the mint color but now loves it.

We were undecided about doing a pallet wall but we decided to and it turned out amazing!  What our garage looked like for several weeks while Shawn took apart pallets, sanded and stained.

For the focal point of the room...

Putting together a puzzle that doesn't fit... was super fun!  LOL not really.

We decided to do half pallet wall instead of the entire wall.  Then we added a white picture ledge at the top for a more finished look and some function.  The glass cabinet painted below is where I plan to put some newborn photos of her.

These shelves were made from the pallet wood as well.

The frames were purchased from Ikea and then painted coral.  I got theses cute prints from Pinterest to complete the look.  The "R" is actually cardboard like material and very light.  We painted it silver for a metal rustic look.
The girls made these pictures for her.  So cute!

The bear above was Shawn's so I thought it would be cute to add to her room.

We LOVE how it turned out!  A special room for a special baby girl.
